A day spent outdoors.

This morning Eric wanted to drive his car to work, and leave it there, (its a 1974 beetle) and since he only has his L that means I would have to go along and walk home.  No biggy, really!  It's only about a 15/20 minute walk and the weather was about as close to perfect as you can get.  The oppressive heat is gone and so is the smokey smog.  This was the scene on either side of the Menzies street bridge.

Mountain ash along the road on the way home.
And as I came back home, I saw that this beauty is starting to bloom.
After such a lovely walk, I really wanted to spend some more time outside, enjoying this fabulous weather, so I took the kids up to Bridal Falls.
So many pretty flowers growing along the path.

I love how the above picture has no filter at all, except for the sunlight coming through the trees.

It was nice to be able to get right up to the falls.  It's only got about a third or so of the regular water coming down, but its still just as amazing to see.

I love how the sunlight sparkles on all the little waterfalls in the creek.

Jeremy attempting to build a dam, and Angela walking Bailey through the creek

We bought some lunch at Timmies and went to eat it at Cheam Wetlands

So many amazing dragonflies, yes so hard to get a good shot.
If you look closely you can see the rainbow ring around the sun.

Above - looking for frogs.  They found 2.
Below - Angela found a ladybug on a cottonwood leaf that had only 2 spots.
